Privacy Policy
100 Days of Pinkathon · by YouTooCanRun · Last updated: 24 August 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how YouTooCanRun Sports Management Pvt. Ltd. (“we”,
“us”, “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you
use the 100 Days of Pinkathon mobile application (the “App”), built to
support the 100 Days of Pinkathon running challenge. By registering for or using the App, you agree
to the practices described in this Policy.
Access to the App is restricted to participants pre-approved by YouTooCanRun Sports Management
Pvt. Ltd. through an admin-managed registration list. If you do not agree with this Policy, please
do not use the App.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
- Name and registered mobile number (used for OTP-based login; no passwords are collected or
stored by the App).
- City and Training Location, captured at registration, used to group you for leaderboard
rankings.
- Profile information visible in the App (e.g., display name shown against your progress and
leaderboard entries).
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Running distance and step data synced from a connected fitness source (Apple Health,
Health Connect, Garmin, Strava, or Google Health (Fitbit)).
- App usage data such as login timestamps, sync activity, days completed, and consistency
percentage.
- Device and diagnostic information (device type, OS version, app version) for
troubleshooting and analytics.
- A device push-notification identifier, used solely to deliver the App’s
notifications to your device.
- Notification delivery and read status, to manage the App’s notification features.
2.3 Information from Connected Fitness Services
When you connect a fitness service or wearable, we access only the minimum data required to
validate your daily distance — primarily running distance, step count (converted to an
equivalent distance where applicable), and activity timestamps.
- For Garmin, Strava, and Google Health (Fitbit), authorization happens
directly through that provider’s own secure login (OAuth). We never see or store
your fitness account password.
- For Apple Health (iOS) and Health Connect (Android),
data is read on your device only after you grant permission through the operating
system’s own permission screen. You can withdraw this permission at any time in
your device settings.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To verify your identity and permit login via OTP.
- To calculate whether each day qualifies as a ‘Valid Day’ (meeting the
event’s minimum daily distance, currently 2 KM) and to track your consistency
percentage across your personal participation window.
- To display your progress, ranking, and statistics on the Progress and Leaderboard pages.
- To group participants by City and Training Location for leaderboard aggregation.
- To generate your weekly and monthly downloadable certificates.
- To send you in-app motivational notifications and updates from the admin team.
- To maintain, secure, and improve the App, and to diagnose technical issues.
- To communicate with you regarding your account, including support requests.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following
circumstances:
- With YouTooCanRun Sports Management Pvt. Ltd.’s administrators, for the purpose of
managing the challenge, publishing notifications, and monitoring participation.
- With other participants, in the form of your name, city/location, distance, and
consistency percentage as displayed on public Leaderboard views (Runners, Locations, and
Cities).
- With connected fitness platforms (Apple Health, Health Connect, Garmin, Strava,
Google Health (Fitbit)), solely to retrieve your activity data, governed by that
provider’s own privacy policy.
- With service providers who host, maintain, or support the App’s infrastructure,
under confidentiality obligations.
- Where required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
5. Data Retention
We retain your registration details, activity data, and progress history for the duration of
the overall event window and for a reasonable period afterward to support certificate generation,
dispute resolution, and record-keeping. You may request deletion of your account and associated
data at any time via the ‘Delete Account’ option in the App or by contacting us.
6. Your Choices and Rights
- Access and review your profile and activity data within the App.
- Disconnect a connected fitness source at any time from the Connect to App section, or
withdraw Apple Health / Health Connect permission in your device settings.
- Enable or disable biometric/authentication login from your Profile menu.
- Request deletion of your account and personal data using the ‘Delete Account’
option.
- Log out of the App at any time.
- Contact us at support@youtoocanrun.com for
any privacy-related request, including data access, correction, or erasure.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your
information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. All communication
between the App and our servers is encrypted in transit. Login is secured via OTP verification,
and optional device-level biometric authentication may be enabled for additional protection.
However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute
security.
8. Children’s Privacy
The App is intended for participants registered through the official Pinkathon event process
and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal
information from children under 13.
9. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with fitness platforms (Apple Health, Health Connect, Garmin, Strava,
Google Health (Fitbit)) to sync activity data. Your use of those services is governed by their
respective privacy policies and terms, which we encourage you to review.
10. Google User Data — Limited Use
Our use of information received from Google APIs, including Google Health data, adheres to the
Google API Services
User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Specifically:
- Google Health activity and fitness data is read only to show you your own daily steps and
distance, to determine whether a day met the challenge target, and to rank you within the
event you joined. It is used for no other purpose.
- We do not sell this data, and we do not transfer it to
third parties except as needed to provide or improve this feature, for security, or where
required by law.
- We do not use this data for advertising.
- We do not use any Google user data — whether raw, aggregated, or
derived — to develop, train, or improve any machine learning or artificial intelligence
model. The App does not integrate with any third-party AI or ML service, and no Google user
data is transmitted to any such service.
- Humans do not read this data except with your explicit consent, for security purposes, to
comply with the law, or where the data has been aggregated and anonymised.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for
legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of material changes through the App
or via notification. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of
the updated Policy.
